
ALGIERS-The National Railway Transport Company (SNTF) will strengthen, from Monday, rail traffic on main lines as part of the gradual resumption of the movement of passenger transport trains, she announced on Sunday in a statement .
The railway company announced the resumption of rail traffic on the Algiers-Constantine-Annaba line (Round trip), as well as the addition of two trains on the Algiers-Oran line, outward and return.
The railway company has set the schedules for the resumption of trains on the Algiers-Constantine-Annaba line as follows: departure at 6:25 am, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday. Annaba-Constantine-Alger: departure at 6:10 am on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
She mentioned that these trains will serve stations in major cities, including: Bouira, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Sétif, El Eulma, Constantine, Skikda and Annaba.
For the Algiers -Oran line (Round trip) the departure is scheduled at 6:10 am and 2:00 pm, with stops in the major stations.
The SNTF also indicated that the relations ensured by sleeper trains are currently interrupted, in application of the health protocol.
She also specified that the circulation of trains, the schedules of which coincide with the hours of partial confinement at home, will gradually resume according to the evolution of the health situation.
“This resumption comes after the decision of the public authorities, the gradual and controlled resumption of the activity of inter-wilayas passenger transport”, recalled the press release.
