“Ahead of the event,we are scheduling very promising B2B and even G2G events to get exhibitors to meet potent buyers and clients.Within Nigeria alone,we are working on 14 national and Sub-National opportunities for railway business deals.Similar plans are on for Ghana,Niger and many other nations participating at the event”,Segun Olanjorin,Operation Director for ARR told journalists in Abuja.
“The event will be strictly business like. The Honourable Minister of Railways for Ghana,Hon Joe Ghartey is a keynote speaker at the conference. Ghana will showcase huge investment and business opportunities at the event.
“We are also having strong national delegations from Russia, Turkey,Indonesia,UK,Germany and Spain.Africa is a market of opportunities for the rail sector.Suppliers and manufacturers hoping to enter African market have great platforms at our event. While we are having a conference alongside the exhibition,it is not a talk shop.It is about legal framework securing investment and protecting the rights of suppliers and manufacturers “,Olanjorinn said.
“We are gradually unfolding activities for the event. We will be in South Africa by June for another rail event. We hope to get South African railway firms to come over to Abuja 2020. Participating is an opportunity for SA excess rail capacity to get expression and opportunities outside South African region.
“We will create a space for a discussion of Trasnet African Growth Plan among others. Our website to be unveiled soon is www.Afrorail.com “,the Director said.
