France: Hyperloop Sets for Test Run

Toulouse: The passenger capsule of the Hyperloop TT project has just arrived to be tested

The American company Hyperloop TT announced Tuesday the arrival of the capsule of the transport of the future at high speed on its site of research and development of Toulouse . No ceremony in great pomp, nor ribbons to cut. The arrival in Toulouse-Francazal of the passenger capsule project “train of the future” carried by the company Hyperloop Transportation Technologies was the subject of a tweet posted on Tuesday.

Part of Spain, it took three days to arrive on the European research site of the American society where it must now be tested.
This concept, which consists in circulating capsules at very high speed in vacuum tubes, is the subject of a frantic race between three companies: Virgin Hyperloop One, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies and TransPod.

The latter also announced Tuesday the installation of a subsidiary in Limoges, the same day or Hyperloop TT posted a tweet stating that it was crossing a new course.

The passenger capsule recently arrived in the Toulouse premises of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, was presented in Spain last October.

Dirk Ahlborn, one of the co-founders of the company, told the US television channel CNBC that the first commercial lines could be opened in 2022.

Bibop Gresta , the other co-founder of Hyperloop TT, said the capsule would be used for the first stretch of the Abu Dhabi route to Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.

In the meantime, it will be tested on the Francazal test track under construction.
