The Board of Directors of the National Railway Transport Company (SNTF) met last Thursday for the presentation of the company’s strategic development plan which spans two periods 2021-2025 and 2025-2030, said a SNTF press release.
This meeting, held at the headquarters of the general management, aims to “inform all the executives concerned about the content and axes of the plan, so that each structure can develop its action plan within the framework of the common strategic objectives of the plan. ‘business,’ the same source explains.
To this end, the central executives, the managers of the company’s subsidiaries, the directors of the railway regions and the directors of the various units of the company all took part in this videoconference meeting.
During his speech at the start of the work, the director general of the SNTF, Karim Ayache, indicated that “this report includes the strategic actions that will be implemented by each structure of the company”, according to the press release.
He added that a “rational, faithful and uncompromising” diagnosis must be carried out within the company in “a constructive spirit” in order to define “the weaknesses and the challenges” and put in place “the actions to be taken for improve the management and performance of the SNTF “.
Mr. Ayache also underlined that the Board of Directors will meet periodically to monitor the progress of the implementation of the strategic plan.
The press release also indicated that the SNTF’s strategic plan is based on two components, the first of which concerns the strategic diagnosis of the organization, the commercial policy, the investment policy in rolling stock and railway infrastructure and finally the evolution of financial indicators of profitability and solvency.
The second part, for its part, concerns the strategic actions to be carried out to rationalize organization and management, improve rail service, and ensure an energy transition to meet environmental requirements, added the press release.
