ALGIERS – The national railway transport company (SNTF) participated on Wednesday in the work of the Euro-Mediterranean workshop on “human and organizational factors” in railway safety, a company statement said on Thursday.
The program of this technical meeting, supervised by Experts from the Euro-Mediterranean Rail Transport Project (EUMedRail), focused on human and organizational factors in the safety management system, and on risk assessment and change management, the statement said.
The “EUMedRail” project is funded by the European Commission and aims to improve the operations and efficiency of the Mediterranean transport system, in particular through regulatory reforms, training and dialogue with decision-makers, the same source recalled. .
It aims in particular to promote convergence with European and international standards and facilitate interoperability between Mediterranean rail networks.
This workshop, organized by videoconference, saw the participation of executives from the central management of the operation and technical inspection of railway safety, alongside their counterparts from Morocco and Tunisia, the company said.
