#Istanbul-#Tehran-#Islamabad Railway Takes Shape

In order to increase the rail capacity, Iran and Turkey have signed three new agreements.

According to reports in the Iranian official news agency iRNAi, Iran Railway Company General Manager Said Resulis said the three joint document was signed, and that this agreement is signed to maximize the level of cargo and passenger capacity between the two countries of Iran and Turkey.

Expressing that they transported more than 500 thousand tons of freight in the first 9 months of this year, Resuli said, “This figure will reach 600 thousand tons by the end of this year and this is a very good record.”

China, Afghanistan and Pakistan agreed with Turkey to strengthen the east-west corridor through Iran: “European routes from China’s southern branch, and Turkey – Afghanistan and Turkey – Pakistan as well as to connect to Turkey Iran’s southern ports, These are the issues that will accelerate with the signing of the agreement. Istanbul-Tehran-Islamabad railway called international corridors linking the railway between China and Turkey are expected to connect to the new road project in China, “he said.
