Railways,Infrastructure Dominate PIDA Week

Delegates during the #moveafrica event on the sidelines of #PIDAWEEK2018 deliberated on the African Integrated High Speed Railway Network as one of #Agenda2063 flagship project, in a bid to achieve Africa’s integration vision.

Top technical leaders of the African Union had gathered in Victoria Falls ,dwelling onnthe infrastructural deficit facing the continent and what needs to be done to bridge the gap.

Traffic Light System, High Speed Freight and Railway and the Trans Saharan Highway will form backbone of #MoveAfrica aimed at connecting markets, people and service which head of NEPAD_Mayaki says will unite Africa for more beneficial experience

AU Director for infrastructure and energy, Mr. Cheikh Bedda, highlights the need to transform the Abidjan-Lagos corridor into a smart one.This line many delegates agreed has been long overdue.

Quite unexpectedly ,the Chinese were fully represented in what appears like a comtinous push by China to deepen her infrastructural diplomacy on the African continent.

#China’s big delegation to #PIDAWEEK2018 is a reflection of its commitment to the development of infrastructure in #africa – Mr. Zhu Zhongliang, Counselor – Chinese Mission to @_AfricanUnion said at the event.
