In preparation for commissioning, test trips began on the 371.6 km Mudanjiang-Jiamusi high-speed line in Heilongjiang province in northeastern China. This province, with its capital in Harbin, is adjacent to the Primorsky, Khabarovsk and Trans-Baikal regions of Russia.
The test drives are high-speed electric trains of the CR400BF ‑ G series of the Fuxing family, designed for cold climates. They are designed to travel at speeds up to 350 km / h at ambient temperatures down to –40 ° C. These trains are equipped with the new CTCS-300H and CTCS-300S on-board safety systems and will therefore be tested for compatibility with the floor train control equipment.
Tests of various equipment on the line began in June 2021 and have largely been completed by now. Construction of this HSR began in 2016 (photo: China Daily).
