#Uganda: #Gulu Logistics Hub Taken Shape

The Gulu Logistics Hub is taking shape despite challenges posed by COVID-19. Upon completion, the hub will certainly boost trade between Uganda, DRC and South Sudan.

The logistics hub is located on a 24.1 acres piece of land in Layibi division, Gulu Municipality.The land was allocated by the @RailwaysUganda

The hub is adjacent to the current Gulu railway station and it also connects to the main roads to South Sudan and Kampala

The logistics hub features container, break-bulk handling and storage facilities,space for stakeholders dealing with freight transport and the provision of accompanying services such as customs inspections,tax payment, maintenance,banking & ICT.

Meanwhile, the Uganda government has announced that Namanve industrial park in Mukono and Wakiso Districts will soon get new railway links that are expected to ease transport and reduce the cost of production.
