Uganda Takes Delivery of Two Locomotives

In furtherance of decision to revive her railways, Uganda has taken delivery of two locomotives with reports that more rolling stock are on the way.

The Ugandan Railway management posted the latest development on Friday.

“Two of the four new locomotives have just been cleared by @URAuganda customs at Malaba. They are now en route Kampala”, the news update noted.

Uganda had recently launched series of projects to rehabilitate her old narrow guage networks to enhance freight services.
