We will Fast track Critical Projects-New Turkish Transport Minister

The new Minister of Transport and Infrastructure in Turkey ,Adil Karaismailoğlu has assumed duty ,promising to fasttrack critical transport projects in the country.

Karaismailoglu in his speech at the handover ceremony held at the Ministry, recalled that since he started to work as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure with the favor of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister Cahit Turhan, he has always been proud of working at the Ministry.

According to the new Minister, “we tried to do important works by making use of our valuable minister’s knowledge and experience. We learned a lot from him in such a short time. ”

Promising that he would endeavor to be worthy of the trust of the President who had assigned this task to him,the new Minister said “we will do everything we can to be worthy of this task. 

“There are very important projects ahead of us. There are vision projects that will bring voice to the whole world and contribute to the development and future of our country. We will run them all together quickly. While doing these, we will definitely benefit from the knowledge and experience of our respected Minister. I thank him very much for his contributions to our Ministry and Government. On behalf of all my friends, I always thank you again”,the new Minister said.

Speaking at the occassion,the outgoing Minister, Mehmet Cahit Turhan said  his tenure witnessed stated many services related to the access and transportation of the country. 

” It was an important responsibility and an important task. We have always been aware of this. Like our Ministers who served in the previous periods, I transfer the trust I received to our new Minister, Adil Karaismailoğlu, who will carry out this task from now on. May Allah help him and his helper. ” 

Turhan said that they have carried out their duties within the Ministry with their colleagues within the 20-month period he has served, and that they have carried out important projects under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan,adding that  the service caravan will continue without stopping.
“We have taken our precautions early in the Coronavirus Point”,Turhan said ,adding that Turkey is  less affected due to decisions taken and implementation of same without delay.

“Of course, our ministry is one of the ministries in this country where projects and services that the nation expects from the state come to the fore. In this process, it carried out and organized its activities both in domestic and international transportation, especially in line with the decisions taken by the Ministry of Health and the Science Board..Today, with the implementation of these decisions in our country, we did not experience any major problems in social and economic life. 

“After that, we, as the Ministry, should try to get rid of this disaster by paying the least price by applying the decisions taken by our Government together. While leaving this position, I felt the need to share these humble expressions by taking refuge in the tolerance of our Minister. 

“Under the leadership of our President, I believe that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will do better services with you and our new Minister under his captain. I wish you success in your future work”,he said.

Turhan was removed from his post by President Tayyip Erdogan, according to a decree published on the Official Gazette early on Saturday.

Adil Karaismailoglu was  appointed as the new minister, the decree said. It did not provide a reason for the change or any further details. A spokesman for the ministry confirmed the move, but did not provide details.

Turhan, a former head of Turkey’s Railroads Directorate and chief adviser to the president, was appointed minister by Erdogan on in July 2018.
