2nd African Rail Digital Congress to Hold in Tunis

The 2nd African Rail Digital Congress entitled “Accelerating digital transformation in Africa: what are the challenges for railways?”, will take place on the 17th – 20th October 2022 in Tunis.

After the first congress took place in 2019 in Cape Town, this summit will bring together railway executives, politicians, industry representatives, economists, and digital ecosystems experts, and will offer:

  • An event lasting 2 days, for even more business opportunities, inspiration, and networking
  • Keynote speeches at the summit, provisionally from AU representatives, African transport and technology ministers, African economists, the European Union, the European Railway Agency and digital ecosystems experts (African start-ups and universities)
  • Sponsorships from major industrial global players
  • An extremely promising plenary program to expand on the main themes of the event:
    • Africa as the continent of digitalising railways for the future
    • Major challenges for digitalisation
    • African digital ecosystems
    • Designing the digital vision for African railways, focusing on the key projects for the African Agenda 2063 for the railways: infrastructure, telecommunications, mobility, and multimodality
