The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Adeleye Adeoye, has inaugurated the Central Working Committee for the 2nd International Railway Conference and Exhibition. The event, scheduled for February 4–6, 2025.
The initiative, led by the National Policy Advocacy Centre (NPAC) of will take place at the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) in collaboration with the Department of Rail Transport at the Federal Ministry of Transport, aims to build on the success of the first edition held in 2022. The inaugural event attracted national and international stakeholders and showcased cutting-edge developments in the railway sector.
This year’s committee includes experts drawn from the Ministry, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), and ACCI. Members include Engr. Finbar J. Zirra, Olubunmi Oyetomi, Vivian Nwosu, Engr. Nmandu Abubakar, Immaculatta Dan, Adubazi Henry, Rossecollete Ihenacho, Dr. James Zang, Dr. Chidiebere Onwumere, Peter Ojobo, and Engr. Nwana Dan.
Committee members have been tasked with critical responsibilities such as shaping the conference agenda, selecting keynote speakers, and ensuring the smooth execution of logistical arrangements. Their collective expertise is expected to create an impactful and innovative event.
The 2nd International Railway Conference and Exhibition seeks to serve as a key platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, promoting sustainable railway transport solutions for Nigeria’s growing infrastructure needs.
