Casablanca, 9 May 2022 – Africa50, the pan-African infrastructure investment platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon-Pierre Fourie as Senior Director, Strategy and Investors Relations. His appointment takes effect from 9 May 2022.
Jon-Pierre Fourie, a South African national joins Africa50 with over 21 years of industry experience. Prior to moving to Africa50, he worked as Head of Investor Relations for Metier Private Equity, a sub-Saharan Africa private equity fund focused on growth capital and specialised vehicles in renewable energy and clean infrastructure.
Mr. Fourie was previously the CEO of the Southern Africa Venture Capital Association (SAVCA), an association for over 170 private equity and venture capital entities, for six years, representing members and engaging with regulators and legislators to advance the growth of the industry. He was also the Head of Strategy at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange from 2001 to 2006, where he was responsible for various strategic initiatives including the development of the stock exchange as a business, which culminated in its listing in 2006.

Jon-Pierre Fourie holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and a Diploma in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg.
