Police foil theft of Train coaches in Maiduguri

The Borno State Police Command has averted the theft of some train coaches at the Maiduguri Railway Terminus.

It was reported that the police acted on a tip-off from persons said to be Good Samaritans.

The police said it apprehended six suspects in the process.

Police spokesperson Sami Kamilu confirmed the incident, saying that the number of train coaches involved was not yet known.

“We arrested six suspects, and that is all I can tell you for now,” he said.
