“Mr. President, it is obvious that every good thing that happened in Tanzania is also a good thing for Zambia, the construction of the Modern Railway is something that has been debated in our parliament that we need a revolution in the railway transport sector. Therefore, in this visit, I have made a purposeful effort so that the president can come here and see for himself the good work done in this construction”, said Reverend Frank Tayali.
In addition, Mr. Tayali added that the construction of SGR in Tanzania has brought about a revolution and rethinking within the railway transport sector in Zambia as the strategies to build a modern railway in Zambia have already started with some preliminary negotiations with the contractor which is building the railway in Tanzania YAPI MERKEZI. We cannot do business effectively with strong investments if there are no close relations with the countries around us including Zambia, Congo (DRC), Burundi and other African countries, so the visit of the Hon.
